Hi I have a few questions I have a 8hh mini pony (a bit of a yard pony) but I would love to start showing him my questions are how do you get them in shape? How do you train them to square up?
Hi and yes great questions! I don’t feed my minis hay (so they don’t get hay bellies) they only get grass every other day and they are lunged at least 3 times a week.
To train them to square up: I move their legs where I want them to go while saying step square. Then I push them back to adjust their back legs and forward to adjust their front. While doing this i tell them “step square” so eventually when I say it they just do it

Its been so long since I've seen this channel!I had my first ever horse show in march and last week I jumped 2'3 for the first time! (I posted it if you wanna see it) Olivia is doing amazing!I have my second show on June 1st, so excited!
